There are some places that are naturally suited for sports but geographical locations should not be a hindrance to do this if one thinks that the place is not appropriate. The sub-Saharan desert in Africa doesn’t have snow, so skiing is not that big there but can be thrown a somewhat sizeable spanner in the works.
