The biggest reason that people buy a holiday home is to make money from and this does work in many instances.The major problem when it comes to making money through something like this is that you have to get people interested and to do this you will need to advertise. If you are managing to get people in all of the time then you are going to have a lot of money there is no doubt at all in that!
So all in all getting a place to stay in abroad can be a really good idea just make sure you are getting French house insurance.
It is really worth getting a place but only if you can actually afford it, if you cant then I would say do not risk losing a lot of money. This is going to be even more true in the climate we are currenty stuck in and you do not have insurance for holiday homes
