Florida really is a great place to go to and whilst most of the time you are not going to need one of those brilliant Florida Guide it certainly comes in useful and this is simply because there is so much to do out there!

The Restaurants

There are many restaurants located within Florida that you can actually find elsewhere in the USA but of course like other states, there are thousands unique to Florida which is great. Although ones like the Golden Corral are located across the US I have not experienced any other one that has done their world famous golden corral volcano pudding cake as well as the chains in Florida do. You need to know that a lot of the restaurants out there are of course buffet which is great to a certain extent but if you are staying out there for a while you can easily start to put on the pounds which is not good at all of course.

Theme Park Time

Okay so the main reason people travel out to Florida is not because of the food but because of the theme parks like the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and who can blame them, they truly are fantastic! There are so many theme parks out in Florida it is amazing and they range from Disney to Universal Studios. Florida is actually not just about Disney and Universal, it is all about the other parks too like Busch Gardens and of course Gatorland.

If you have never been to Florida before I really would thoroughly recommend it because it is great fun not just for a family or kids but for anyone and people of all ages. Go out there and have fun!

Mizzi, Sorel has had a great 2010. He has finished top ten in 12 tournaments from January till now. He has also grabbed 4 titles this year, which currently puts his in first position in player of the year ranking. Compare to last year this is a huge improvement because he finished 174th and in 2008 he finished in 91st. So he seems to be doing well this year. He also enjoys playing rakeback deals online sometimes.

Sorel is currently leading the pack with 1,298.07 player of the year points. Thomas Marches is in second position with 773.57 points. Juan Carlos Mortensen then follows Thomas with 758.55 points. Shawn Buchanan then follows with 699.83 points in fourth.

In the fifth position is Samuel Stein with 698.90 points. Frank Kassela then comes in sixth with 693.55 points. In seventh Daniel Shak is sitting comfortable with.08 points. Last year’s player of the tournament Jason Mercier is in 8th position this year with 652.05 poy points. Looks like it is not going to be his year but he has had a very good season so far. Daniel Alaei finished sixth last year and still is in the hunt to finish in top 5 this year currently ninth with 627.30 points. In tenth position with 595.63 points it’s Chris Bell. Then with 579.18 player of the year points its Mike Beasley in eleventh.

This year’s big surprise has to be Sorel Mizzi. No one expected a competition from this man and now they have got it. He has bounced back massively after a terrible season in 2009 and has silenced his critics.

I am going to get my hand in few pokerstars rakeback and a full tilt rakeback online tournaments and see if I finish in any leader board. One can always dream.

So far the summer has been very hot and sunny. But you should never believe English weather as it changes every day more like every hour to be honest. People from the UK are always looking to go abroad in the summer to enjoy milder weather because UK hardly is not known for it’s summer. As soon as we start getting sunnier and warmer weather we are all on the look out for doing some fun outdoor activities. A lot of people go for a swim in their local swimming pools or the beach. Some like to have bbq parties to enjoy the mild and sunny weather with their friends and family. Cricket season in the UK starts in the summer and a lot of people participate playing the sport for their local clubs or go and see their local team play.

As you can see we have a lot to do during the summer time but we just don’t have big enough summer to do all this. I will be concentrating on the activities done by people in the UK in the summer. There has been a research in the past showing that more people join the gym for swimming in the summer than the winter. Swimming is good because while you are having fun in the pool you are also working your body out.

Another cool research shows that summer time is the biggest spending time for the parents. Kids are always looking at the Argos book to find out what’s new in the summer toys range. Several outdoor toys like bicycle, trampolines and climbing frames have been selling quite heavily in the UK. A lot of households these days have outdoor toys like trampolines in their back garden. The good thing about this is that parents won’t have to worry where their kids are when they are sun bathing or having a bbq party at the back garden because the kids can play in their outdoor toys.

Several people already have started buying above ground pools in their back garden or even inside their property if the house is big enough of course. Yes you do require swimming pool equipments such as pool covers and swimming pool chemicals, but it’s worth it.

Go swimming and get fit this summer.

Holiday Bliss in Birmingham

With the school summer holidays rapidly approaching and forecasts of a wiltingly hot summer ahead, many people’s minds are turning to where to go and how best to spend time with a young family over the holiday period.

With the seaside offering the traditional United Kingdom holiday getaway, many never look beyond the beach to see what other great alternatives are available.

Let’s be honest, the fantasy of uncrowded golden beaches, fun in the sea and ice creams with the family in the sun is more akin to holiday brochures than reality. If, like so many of us, you’ve done the United Kingdom beach holiday in the past, more often than not the experience revolves around bored children, overcrowded beaches, overpriced drinks and ice creams, sand in the coleslaw and the constant worry of sunburn; not exactly the perfect way to spend relaxing quality time with the family.

“So where else can I take the family?“, I hear you asking. Breaking with tradition and heading for a major city may not at first seem like a great way to spend your holiday. City breaks, although not offering the sea air and sound of surf rolling up the beach, in some ways offer far more. Taking Birmingham as an example, there are a multitude of activities to keep everyone entertained, and with some exceptional early booking deals available from the likes of Travelodge and other popular UK hotel chains, a week long city break could work out cheaper than a trip to the seaside.

In terms of entertainment and places to visit, here are just some examples of what Birmingham has to offer.

Cadbury World: Opened on 14th August 1990 and still the only purpose-built visitor centre in the UK devoted entirely to chocolate. If you want to stay in the good books of your chocolate-loving brood, be sure to include this on the tour trail

Sea Life Center: Fancy diving beneath the sea without getting your hair wet? You’ll come face to face with everything from shrimps to sharks, and learn loads of great stuff from Sea Life experts.

The Birmingham Hippodrome: Top-notch entertainment for all. Treat the family to an evening of entertainment with some of the biggest named shows around.

The Birmingham Botanical Gardens & Glasshouses: This 15 acre oasis of horticultural delight opened to subscribers in 1832. Today, you will find beauty, peace and tranquillity combined with excellent visitor facilities for the whole family.

Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery: Here you can see artifacts and objects spanning seven centuries of European and world history and culture. Find out more about Birmingham’s history or see the Egyptian mummies always popular with the kids.

ThinkTank: The most modern of science museums. Investigate everything from full size locomotives and aircraft to intestines and taste buds. There’s the awe-inspiring, truly gobsmaking planetarium.

IMAX Theatre: Jaw dropping and spectacular, that’s the IMAX Cinema at Millennium Point (in the same building as ThinkTank). It’s by far the largest movie screen in the Midlands - high as a five-story building and wide as four buses. It’s also got 3D technology to bring the action right to the very tip of your nose.

Every city has its unique points and attractions. Indeed, chances are that a trip to the city could be more entertaining and relaxing for the whole family than the hard to find serenity of the perfect beach. So, next time you start planning for a family break, consider the alternatives and ask yourself if the beach really does offer the perfect family getaway.

———————————————————————————–

There are many people who go away on their summer holidays but have they thought about a winter break I wonder. Well, it would seem a lot of people do actually go on winter holidays each year but the real thing to look at is why these people go at this time of year and do they find it much better going on holiday to a destination such as Dubai in the winter rather than the summertime?

Rubbing It In
When it comes to summer holidays you may end up feeling a bit left out if you’ve decided to go on a winter break because your friends are going on holiday in the height of the summer but the fact is, when they get back, you are still looking forward to yours and you can really rub it in with them. Make sure you make sure everyone knows that while their holiday stories are fading quicker than their tans, you are heading for a warm climate in the middle of the cold, wet, windy winter and you are going to be having a great time while every-one else has to remember to wrap up warm.

The Weather
Lets face it, the chances are that the winter weather at home is going to be very bad indeed but when you fly off to a tropical country, you can rest assured it should be great. It makes sense, why should you leave home in the summer when you can go in the winter when it is cold and bleak? It makes common sense to stay home in the summer and leave in the winter; examples of the many places you might like to think about include Thailand or Barbados. These destinations are popular all year round but in the winter they are a little less busy and a little cooler than in the summer so make sure you look into these locations and think again about taking your next break during high season.

of course the thing to remember when it comes to this is that you need to be having a good time when you go away so it does not matter what time you go as long as you do this!

if you have not been on holiday before in the winter then do it because it is a very different experience to the summer
Keys: thai, Barbados, dubai

Last weekend I went on a shopping trip to New York. Being able to head over to a place as wonderful as New York for a couple of days really is a sign of the times. The fact that it wasn’t even too expensive for the hotel or the flights made it even better. I was actually looking in the newspaper and saw a cheap flight to New York and I decided that I should just go for it. I used to think that these advertisements were just claiming to have flights this cheap but that you never really got the price advertised; I was wrong. After paying for both my flights and accommodation, I was only down four hundred pounds; I couldn’t believe it.

There are a lot of people who would put New York at the top of their list of shopping destinations in the whole world. With so much temptation on offer, I really had to resist the urge to max out my credit cards. Even with a lot of self control I still ended up buying a lot. In New York you will also be amazed by the entertainment which is on offer. On the first night I visited a trendy restaurant and a few proper New York bars - the fact that I was a single woman didn’t seem to bother anyone. I really will never forget my second night as I went to an amazing show on Boadway; it truly was an unforgettable experience.

I would highly recommend one of these short breaks to anyone; especially considering how cheap you can do it for. I would be straight back on the plane in a flash if I could. I feel that having a few extra breaks throughout the year is important for our sanity. In my opinion if you can take a break through the winter, it doesn’t feel so endless; I really don’t think one holiday abroad is enough.

As far as huge corporations are concerned, everybody must know about virgin. That massive company founded by the great richard branson. There are lots of arms of this massive brand, including music reviews.

People love going to the Costa Blanca not least for its amazing stretch of sandy beaches. That’s why villa holidays Spain can get very popular so finding on is all that more difficult.

Benidorm is one of the most family friendly and enjoyable places to visit. The only problem here is that you are not really seeing the real Spain.

If you would like to see a city on a trip to Spain then why not look for a villa around the Alicante area. The are numerous features to be found at some of the villas available. Most people will go for a private villa because it will provide you with your own swimming pool. When it starts getting hot it is really good to be able to take a quick dip in the pool.

You will want to make sure you allocate the appropriate amount of time to visit the glorious beaches in the area. Costa Blanca means whit coast in english and was originally named to attract more tourists. Whilst the sand on these beaches may not be technically white they are in pristine condition.

There are some great destinations to visit like Moraira and Javea. The towns have a nice colonial feel that remind you of Spain’s past. It’s not too difficult to get a holiday villa in Moraira they have wonderful cobbled street and a real traditional atmosphere worth visiting or staying for a few nights.

All over the country these beautiful little villages can be found. Look around these locations and you will find some beautiful architecture. You will find loads of old building and cathedrals around that will keep you entertained.

Self drive holidays are also a popular choice in Spain and make it easy for you to get from place to place with the least amount of hassle.

Going out for one of those villa holidays Spain is something that many people do each year but what are the main reasons for this, why do people feel inclined to go to Spain of all places?

Centre

Spain is not as centralised as France, there is not really much doubt on this but it would seem it is still a massive central point to Europe and one that is great to visit with no doubt at all. there is no point jetting off across the world when you have a warm location close to you? If you think about it, it makes sense.

Friendly

I have actually travelled a lot around Spain and it would seem that it is an area I am very found of, I have been shocked by how friendly they all are. If I am thinking about the UK then I am not sure I can think of the same thing. The restaurant owners would still get business if they were simply okay with their customers but out in Spain there is a real passion to succeed and this is what makes them so friendly with the people doing business with them. I love the country a lot for this reason. I have many Moraira villa images of the happy times here.

Great Priced

Okay it isn’t as cheap as it used to be when the pesetas currency was in place but it is still reasonably cheap to get to and buy food and dine out there. It makes it appealing to Brits as we are still not within the Euro, thank goodness. Dining in the many restaurants is really only expensive if you are heading into the capital. Around a Moraira holiday you should actually be fine when it comes to pricing.

So there you have it, just a few reasons on why Spain is such an appealing place to go and visit.

Dubai is becoming an increasingly popular holiday destination, not just fir Brits but for travelers all over the world. In the last ten years the Emerites state has seen an explosion In wealth due the abundance of fossil fuels in the area. The transformation of Dubai from a dusty outpost to a thriving ultra-modern metropolis was rapid and it has gone from a virtually unknown city to a prime holiday destination. A trip to the middle east makes a great alternative to run-of the mill Mediterranean getaway, but there a few rules to familiarise yourself with before jetting off.

Dubai is located in the United Arab Emerites, a state in the middle East with strong religion driven rules in place, these are slightly relaxed in big cities like Dubai, but certain rules apply which may seem alien to liberal European tourists taking Dubai holidays. An ia big part of a vacation for many is enjoying one or two tipples, while this is possible in Dubai, the locals certainly to not appreciate explicit drinking on the streets or anyone displaying drunken behavior. For this reason Dubai does not have the same street bar culture employed by Europeans and most of the alcohol consumption happens within the confines of hotel bars.

Dubai also takes a stuffy attitude towards public displays of affection. A British couple were recently pulled up by the law for getting intimate on a beach and were slapped with a hefty fine. Common sense is required here, holding hands is fine but heavy petting and anything beyond is most definitely not. Recently rules on dress have been relaxed and women can comfortably walk around in bikinis without being reprimanded. It is best to exercise common sense in Duabi, rules are relaxed here to cater for the recent influx of Western visitors, but the local culture and traditions still very much dominate. Certainly very Different from Cuba holidays or Barbados holidays!

Lots of people are now looking for more out of their holidays. The beach is fine for those with no energy who’s only interest in life is having a tan. However there is a trend emerging amongst young people who are ditching the traditional sandy beaches and heading for some adrenaline fuelled holidays.

Travelling or meeting up with a group to enjoy these activities is now common place. This way you get to meet up with a bunch of like minded people and experience something new together. One such activity could be canoeing expeditions which are great for people who enjoy their water sports. Many places around the world are well suited to these kind of expeditions. Some of the best include the US and New Zealand. Once you’re there you will have the choice of a single kayak of a group shared raft.

For the winter time lots of people like to get out on the slopes for some skiing or snowboarding. Although you can expect the well known resorts to be rather crowded at the height of the season. If you want to get away from the crowds try Nordic skiing which is more varied type of skiing. Like cross country skiing Nordic skiing will take you off the beaten tracks and give you a chance to experience the frozen wildreness.

For those interested in looking after themselves in the wild the there are many tracking courses. The tracking courses can teach you you to detect and follow many different types of animals and also tell you which one’s to avoid. In addition you will also learn how to follow human tracks which could come in handy if someone has gone missing. In general these types of courses give you a really comprehensive idea of what it would be like to survive in the wild. For those that do a lot of walking and treks these course can be absolutely invaluable.
