Last weekend I went on a shopping trip to New York. Being able to head over to a place as wonderful as New York for a couple of days really is a sign of the times. With so much temptation on offer, I really had to resist the urge to max out my credit cards. Even with a lot of self control I still ended up buying a lot. In New York you will also be amazed by the entertainment which is on offer. On the first night I visited a trendy restaurant and a few proper New York bars - the fact that I was a single woman didn’t seem to bother anyone. I really will never forget my second night as I went to an amazing show on Boadway; it truly was an unforgettable experience.

I would highly recommend one of these short breaks to anyone; especially considering how cheap you can do it for. I would be straight back on the plane in a flash if I could. I feel that having a few extra breaks throughout the year is important for our sanity. In my opinion if you can take a break through the winter, it doesn’t feel so endless; I really don’t think one holiday abroad is enough.
